How to wear: Knee High Boots ♥

Hey lovelies,

I don't think I've ever done one of these posts before, but I love reading them, and considering I recently added a new pair of boots to my shoe collection, I thought I'd do a little 'how to style' post.

I love knee high boots for this autumn/winter, they're so practical and keep my little toes warm in the cold weather and they look great with any outfit to make a change from ankle heeled boots like my Ambush boots from Topshop. Here are a few ideas of what you can team them with...

Date night: Playsuit-Boohoo, Leather jacket-Topshop, Clutch bag-Topshop, Bracelet-River Island, Rings-River Island, Tights-Topshop, Boots-Asos

Shopping: Fur Gilet-Topshop, Jumper-Miss Selfridge, Coated Skinny Jeans- Warehouse, Bag-River Island, Heart Necklace-Topshop, Boots- Asos.
Outdoors: Wax Jacket- Barbour, Bag- Mulberry Del Rey, Skinny Jeans-Topshop, Scarf- Barbour, Jumper-Barbour, Fox Necklace-River Island, Boots- Asos

Out for Dinner: Dress-Miss Selfridge, Necklace-Miss Selfridge, Nail Polish- Nars Dovima, Bag- Asos,
Ring-Miss Selridge, Tights-Topshop, Boots-Asos

What do you think of these outfits I've put together? Do you own any knee high boots for this season?

Wednesday Wishlist #2 ♥

Hey beauties

I haven't done one of these for a while because I've been shopping a fair bit recently but I have my eye on a few things for my next holiday and just general wear at the moment I thought I'd display them all in a little post :).

Left to right: Necklace- Topshop, Dress - Sugarhill Boutique, Skirt - Missguided.co.uk, Playsuit - Missguided.co.uk, Shorts- Missguided.co.uk, Hand chain - Topshop, Blouse - Topshop,  Colour change nail polish - Barry M,  Stacked ring - Topshop, Playsuit - Topshop, Shard ring - Topshop, Peplum top - Topshop, Shoes - Topshop, Skirt - Missguided.co.uk, Shorts - Topshop

Unfortunately I don't think the tiny amount I have in my bank account will stretch to all of these straight away so I think I'll have to pick out some favourites, although I think they're all perfect for my upcoming holiday to Spain at the end of August.

What do you think of my wishlist?

Let's get Wavy ♥

Hey beauts,

So a month or so ago I got a little crazy with my online shopping as the weather was so grim outside and I hadn't stepped out the house for a whole weekend!! I needed perking up so took a peek online, then one thing led to another and before I knew it I was a few pennies down and waiting for my new goodies to arrive!

I came across Wavy Handmade Jewellery  and there were so many things I wanted. I ended up buying quite a lot as I originally ordered some things and then found out more had been added to the shop so I made another cheeky little order too - no willpower. I wanted something a little bit different as I have a lot of jewellery already and I found some lovely pieces to add to my collection. I thought the prices were amazing too as they were all relatively cheap which made me feel less guilty about buying quite a lot! I was also really impressed with the service, as the packaging was really cute with a little sticker with my name on, and because my order took a while to get to me, due to having to wait for some parts, I was sent some freebies to make up for my wait! I was so happy with them all as each freebie was really my style as well and I liked that thought and effort had gone into my order to make sure I was a happy customer! :)

The freebies I was sent were the: Skull ring, the Red stone bracelet with the little hand charm, and the Purple Cross bracelet, all the rest I ordered  myself :).

I love all my jewellery, and you'll be seeing them in lots of future outfit posts as they've been making an appearance in lots of my outfits lately! :) Will definitely be buying more jewellery soon! :)

What do you think of my new goodies? Have you ever bought anything off Wavy Jewellery?

OOTD: Sunday sunshine ♥

Hey lovelies,

Cheeky little outfit post for you all...this is the outfit I wore for today for a little early-easter family gathering. I wanted to be casual and summery and I got this lovely top and these jeans on my Meadowhall shopping trip I talked about here. I love the colour of these jeans as they're a lilacy-blue colour so are great for summer when it's not quite hot enough for shorts or a skirt. I think the top is really pretty and girly with its flower print too and it's little slit at the back, ideal for the look I was going for today.

*My effort to show the slit at the back of the top*

Top: Bank, Jeans: Topshop Baxter Jeans, Bag: Mark B, Watch: Guess

What have you all done with your weekends? and What do you think of my sunday outfit?

P.S the lovely Holly, from Miss Holly blog is advertising my blog on hers this month so make sure you go and check out her great blog here! :)

OOTD: Summer Shopping Spree ♥

Hey lovelies,

This is just a little post to show you all what I wore for a casual day's shopping to Meadowhall in Sheffield yesterday. I know this post should have been up yesterday but I got home very late so was too tired to do anything, let alone start typing away on my laptop.

The weather was gorgeous all day yesterday so I thought it was the perfect excuse to whip out my new coral jeans from Topshop that I got on saturday. I love these jeans as they're three-quarter lengths which are great for the sunny weather and they really get me in the mood for summer! I paired them with a simple peach coloured blouse from Topshop and my black slipper shoes because I wanted my outfit to be comfortable and casual for a long day's shopping. I also teamed my outfit with my new Topshop necklace which I adore as it goes perfectly with any blouse like this and adds an edgy feel with it's chains and also my skull ring from Topshop and other rings from various places! :). The cardigan on the top picture was just a thin woolly cardigan which I wore in the morning before the sun came out completely as it was quite chilly at 9 o'clock, this soon came off though as it got too hot.

Excuse the pixellated face here - I didn't want to subject you to my half laugh half serious face!

Cardigan: Topshop, Blouse: Topshop, Jeans: Topshop, Bag: Marc B, Jewellry: Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Pandora, Watch: Guess

What do you all think of my summer outfit? I hope you're all making the most of this beautiful weather! I'll do a post soon on all of my gorgeous new purchases!

Summer Vibes ♥

Hey beauts,

I don't know about you but all this lovely weather lately is really making me think about summer and holidays and BBQ's and nights out so naturally, I've been spying out some items for my summer wardrobe which I think are ideal for summer nights or holidays away...

L-R: Rosey Posey Dress: Topshop, Elfin Tan Shoes: Miss Selfridge, Daisy Bead Cami: Topshop, High Waisted Hotpants: Topshop, Sian Colour Contrast Bag: Boohoo, Sunglasses: ASOS, Nailvarnish in Waterlily: Topshop, Nude Sheer Drop Back Skirt: Miss Selfridge, Black Multi-Strap Block Heel: Boohoo

I love the daisy top and think it would look gorgeous with anything pastel coloured, so to go with the summer theme the cute denim shorts from topshop just add a bit of a girly touch! I also adore these midi/maxi skirts at the moment and I can't wait to get my hands on one to wear on holiday one night! I also think the dress and brown shoes are so ideal for a casual summers day out, with the sun shining and a cheeky glass of pimms in hand! I cannot wait!

What do you think of my summer wardrobe staples? What's on your summer shopping lists?

Stylist♥Pick...

Hello lovelies,

I'm sure everyones seen Cheryl Cole strutting her stuff on the new stylist♥pick* adverts parading her new shoe range, so after seeing it pop up at the side of my Facebook, I thought I'd give it a go! I filled in all my details and my likes and dislikes and although it probably was quite a broad selection of likes and dislikes I still expected to like more than one item in my 'personal showroom'.

*For those of you that don't know what stylistpick is, it's basically an online shop, where you tell them your sizes and your fashion likes and dislikes and it tries to find shoes and bags that they think you'll like!

My style was picked as 'Fashion Forward', which I would agree with as I'm always looking out at what's on trend and buying/spending too much on new things, but I just didn't feel the selection of shoes reflected that! It does say my showroom will be fully updated within 24 hours and what I was seeing was just a preview but I'm still not sure. I had a cheeky look at Cheryl Cole's collection though and I do like a couple of her pairs of shoes, so at least that's something! I may treat myself to some from her collection if I get my work done, although at £79.90-£119.85 a pair, I'll have to save a few pennies first...for a while!

In the meantime I'll just hope that my showroom improves and I start seeing some must-buy items, as the rest of the range is quite reasonable and 25% off my first purchase is so tempting!

My two favourites from Cheryl Cole's collection: Left: Your Royal Hotness, Right: RI RI-RT

Have you tried out Stylist♥Pick and what did you think? Did your showroom reflect your style?

Mid-Week Treats ♥

Hey lovelies,

Today I was a little bit naughty and went to buy a present but ended up buying some things for myself! I couldn't resist and as we're only half way through the week, I thought I'd treat myself to get me through the next two days of hard work before the weekend. I cleaned out my bedroom a couple of weeks ago and threw away a lot of old jewellery and I'm slowly starting to build up my collection again with lots of beautiful staple pieces. I only went into Outfit for a quick look this afternoon, after lunch with a friend, but when I discovered that Dorothy Perkins had a 'buy one get the other half price' deal on and also an amazing Topshop jewellery sale I couldn't walk out empty handed! I treated myself to a gorgeous ring from Dorothy Perkins which was half price at £3.75 with the necklace I bought as a gift, and a gorge necklace from Topshop at an absolute steal, reduced from £14.50 to £1!!!! It would have definitely been rude not to!

I also snuck the little Barry M eye and lip crayon on there too, even though I actually treated myself to that on saturday from Topshop in London. But I thought I'd give it a little mention as I quite like it so far. I got it to wear as an alternative to my day-to-day brown eyeliner pencil that I wear for my everyday make up, as I heard that wearing a pale colour underneath your eye can make you look more awake and so far so good! It's quite shimmery which was a little weird at first but it actually stays on all day and makes a lovely change to my brown. It's not too harsh either and requires a few layers to build it up, which I like as I can build up the shade as much as I like. You can also wear it as a lip crayon, but I personally don't think I'll be using it for that! (P.S. Sorry the swatch isn't great, it's a really light colour)

Barry M - Shimmering Eye and Lip Crayon -£4.59 with 10% student discount in Topshop - another good price! So I wasn't too naughty and didn't spend too much I suppose :)

What do you think of my treats? Have you treated yourselves to anything new this week?

My first OOTD! ♥

Heyy beauts,

So I thought it's about time I actually 'manned up' and did an OOTD as I keep seeing other lovely bloggers doing them and wishing I was confident enough too. So I thought I'd start gently with a casual outfit that I'm wearing today. It's my dad's birthday today and he wanted to just have a chilled out day with the family and relax, so I thought I'd go as comfy as possible whilst still looking nice enough to go out for a couple of hours. I opted for a 'never-fail'chunky knit cardigan as they can always be dressed up or down and shoved on over anything and my Topshop skinny jeans as I just love the fit and feel of them-they're definitely my 'go-to' jeans!  I also whipped out my new satchel bag from Next, that I just got from my grandparents for my birthday! I kept my jewelry minimal with just a few rings and bracelets and styled my hair in an big messy bun to go with the simple relaxed look. I do have to say sorry about the brightness of the pictures though, the sun was shining really brightly and pretending to be warm...

Topshop Leigh Supersoft jeans, New Look cream blouse, Next Snood, Primark Knitted Cardigan, Next Satchel,Topshop studded slippers, Topshop rings and bracelet.

So there's my first ever OOTD for my super chilled out, casual day. Now I'm off to enjoy lots of lovely food and wine at a big family meal to wish my dad a happy birthday. I hope you're all having a lovely saturday too and have a lovely lazy sunday tomorrow too like I intend to!

Wednesday Wishlist ♥

Heyy girls,

I've never done a 'wishlist' on here before even though I'm always spying up my next purchases and making lists of things I need to buy when I get the chance (or some money) so I thought I'd share with you all what I'm really hoping to get in the next couple of weeks...

From left to right: Marc Jacobs iPhone case - £38 , Urban Decay 'All Nighter - £19, Clinique 3 Step Kit - £20 (introduction size), Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum - £41/30ml, Miss Selfridge heels - £58

I've heard such good things about the Estée Lauder Serum so I think I need to try it out for myself, and I know I already use the Clinique 3 step but it's just not been working for me recently so I want to try out a different skin type and see if that works, as I heard you should change them at different times of the year. The shoes and phone case are just lust items and I think anything that keeps your make up perfect on a night is definitely worth trying so Urban Decay really attracted me with that one! I can't wait to spend my money on some of these bad boys, I feel another splurge coming on...

What's on your wishlists at the moment and what do you think of mine?

Saturday Spree ♥

Hey lovelies,

Just wanted to share with you a couple of the lovely things I got from my little Trafford Centre visit this weekend. My boyfriend and I went to spend some christmas giftcards of mine and after 5 and a half hours (much to Dan's pain and disappointment) I came away with a few goodies. My first fave is my Urban Decay 'Naked' palette - I was actually buying this for myself on behalf of my sisters who wanted to get it me for my birthday but didn't get chance, so told me to go buy it at the weekend and I was so torn as to whether to get the original or get the #2 but I just love the gold shades so it was an easy choice in the end. I love the eyeshadow primer it's perfect for big girl nights out when you need your eyeshadow to stay put!

I also got some lovely studded slipper-style shoes from Topshop and a lovely cream lace top which is going to be so wearable, with jeans, leggings and dressed up or down. I also managed to spot a gorgeous coral colour jumper in the sale from £50 to £25 and it's beautiful and so soft I just had to buy it...
I obviously treated myself to another MAC lipstick (no will power) and got the shade 'Hue' just for everyday wear as it's really natural looking.

A few of my goodies minus the tops (they will be featured soon)

Finally I also got treated to a cute little present from Dan who snuck off to Selfridges when I was trying something on in Miss Selfridge even though I was taking all day. He's such a cutie...

I hope you all had lovely weekends and I'll definitely post updates about my new Urban Decay and my new Tops when I start wearing them :)

P.S. you may notice I've just added a bloglovin' button to my sidebar so feel free to give me a follow and send me your links too :)

Macy's Goodies ♥

Heyy girls,
Just thought I'd do a quick post whilst I'm having a lazy day! Whilst in New York, I visited Macy's (mentioned in my last post here) and as I said I was totally in love with the huge beauty section so I obviously had to treat myself. I needed a few things from Mac so I headed there and thought I'd treat myself to a new lipstick too! I bought the lipstick in 'Speed Dial' after a long decision on which shade! It's so creamy and applies really well to give a neutrally- pink shade on your lips that's perfect for day or night as it's not too bright and like many other Mac lip products it smells delicious! (Sorry about the picture quality - the lighting isn't very good in my Uni room)

Mac - Cremesheen 'Speed Dial'

I was also tempted over to the Benefit stand and was treated to a mini makeover by the lovely sales assistant! I haven't used Benefit in years so I thought I'd take a look at what they were offering. She used the Watt's Up highlighter around my cheek bones and just underneath my eyebrow which looked lovely and finished off my make up, although I controlled myself and didn't buy this as I still have a highlighter to finish before I buy another. She then showed me what I now consider to be a 'miracle' balm called the 'Porefessional' it can be applied under or over make up and it makes your skin feel so SMOOTH and visibly reduces the appearance of pores! I love it! I've used it every day since buying it and it really makes a difference to the look and feel of your skin. :) It's slightly tinted too so you can wear it without make up if you really want to...

Have you ever tried the Benefit Porefessional, and what are your favourite lipsticks?

Christmas Shopping. x

Shopping for Christmas presents is never the easiest job when you don't really have much of an idea what you're going to get people, but I just had the lovliest time with my mum today! It was so good to just have some proper girl time and retail therapy after a lot of work at Uni and you can't beat a bit of shopping to lift your mood! The little Christmas market stalls in Liverpool were so charming too, selling all sorts of yummy food and little crafts. I got some really nice presents for some of my 'giftees' and I was even treated to a gorge new coat from Miss Selfridge that I'm going to whip out to keep my nice and toasty in New York when I go there for New Year to celebrate the BIG 21! I'm actually feeling a little more festive now after feeling like a bit of a Scrooge for the last few days after being bogged down with so much work. I actually can't wait to give everyone their presents and spread a bit of joy. Whilst wearing my beautiful new coat. Only 26 days - and counting! :)
