Daydreaming ♥

Hey beauts

Hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous weather (I know I should stop talking about it, but it's making my dissertation writing days so much more bearable!) Anyway, due to horrendous amounts of dissertation writing and *should-be* revising times, I've naturally been daydreaming about my holidays and sunbathing, and cocktails in the sun, and golden tans and I could go on and on, so I thought I'd post some lovely pictures of previous holidays which have been making me feel so excited and summery and share the sunny love! I know this isn't exactly beauty related but my blog is also about travel so it does fit in with that :)

P.S. That weird little face thing top right was a yummy cocktail in Mexico called Coco-Loco, and was so creative I just had to put a picture of it up!

I hope this little post has got everyone in the mood for Summer '12! I really can't wait for it to hurry up and get here!

OOTD: Summer Shopping Spree ♥

Hey lovelies,

This is just a little post to show you all what I wore for a casual day's shopping to Meadowhall in Sheffield yesterday. I know this post should have been up yesterday but I got home very late so was too tired to do anything, let alone start typing away on my laptop.

The weather was gorgeous all day yesterday so I thought it was the perfect excuse to whip out my new coral jeans from Topshop that I got on saturday. I love these jeans as they're three-quarter lengths which are great for the sunny weather and they really get me in the mood for summer! I paired them with a simple peach coloured blouse from Topshop and my black slipper shoes because I wanted my outfit to be comfortable and casual for a long day's shopping. I also teamed my outfit with my new Topshop necklace which I adore as it goes perfectly with any blouse like this and adds an edgy feel with it's chains and also my skull ring from Topshop and other rings from various places! :). The cardigan on the top picture was just a thin woolly cardigan which I wore in the morning before the sun came out completely as it was quite chilly at 9 o'clock, this soon came off though as it got too hot.

Excuse the pixellated face here - I didn't want to subject you to my half laugh half serious face!

Cardigan: Topshop, Blouse: Topshop, Jeans: Topshop, Bag: Marc B, Jewellry: Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Pandora, Watch: Guess

What do you all think of my summer outfit? I hope you're all making the most of this beautiful weather! I'll do a post soon on all of my gorgeous new purchases!

J'adore la Paris ♥

Hey lovelies,

So as my facebook and twitter has shown over the last week I haven't been able to contain my excitement about having a little rendevous with all my besties in Paris this weekend for the gorgeous dance with emily's 21st birthday! I had such an amazing weekend full of so many laughs and gossip and just general celebrating and mooching around! I didn't realise how much I missed my girls whilst being at uni, until getting together! So here's a little selection of my fave photos from the weekend!

x

Things to see:
  • Explore the gorgeous vintage shops in Marais near Chatlet for some great bargains and amazing clothes
  • Obviously, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the river Seine (for some lovely photo opportunities) the Champs Elysee for some amazing shopping time, the Arc de Triomphe
  • Get off at the Metro Trocadero for a GORGEOUS view of the Eiffel Tower (pictured above) - much better than seeing it from below.
  • The latin quarter near Saint Michel at night, for beautiful little cobbled streets full of restaurants and bars. Perfect for lots of cocktail drinking!
So that's my little weekend post, hope you my pictures as much as I do, I had such a great weekend!
As you can see, I also had my hair cut off and went for a fresh new style after trying to decide how to have it here - such a relief! :)

Have you ever been to Paris, and have you ever been on any adventures with your best friends?

Summer Vibes ♥

Hey beauts,

I don't know about you but all this lovely weather lately is really making me think about summer and holidays and BBQ's and nights out so naturally, I've been spying out some items for my summer wardrobe which I think are ideal for summer nights or holidays away...

L-R: Rosey Posey Dress: Topshop, Elfin Tan Shoes: Miss Selfridge, Daisy Bead Cami: Topshop, High Waisted Hotpants: Topshop, Sian Colour Contrast Bag: Boohoo, Sunglasses: ASOS, Nailvarnish in Waterlily: Topshop, Nude Sheer Drop Back Skirt: Miss Selfridge, Black Multi-Strap Block Heel: Boohoo

I love the daisy top and think it would look gorgeous with anything pastel coloured, so to go with the summer theme the cute denim shorts from topshop just add a bit of a girly touch! I also adore these midi/maxi skirts at the moment and I can't wait to get my hands on one to wear on holiday one night! I also think the dress and brown shoes are so ideal for a casual summers day out, with the sun shining and a cheeky glass of pimms in hand! I cannot wait!

What do you think of my summer wardrobe staples? What's on your summer shopping lists?

Umberto Giannini Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask ♥

Hey lovelies,

I got this hair mask for christmas off my sister but have always forgotten to use when I have a shower. Although recently I've started to feel like my hair could to with a bit of TLC so I made sure I took it with me, to give my hair a bit of much needed moisture and hydration. The mask contains Shea butter to replenish dry damaged hair and smells quite fruity which I love because I hate when products don't smell nice even though they do good things. It's so thick, so you don't need much, I slathered my hair in it this time though as I felt it would benefit from quite a lot, and all you have to do is leave it on for around 3 minutes to damp hair so it can soak in and moisturise to it's little heart's content. When I washed it out my hair felt instantly smoother and looked a lot shinier, which I love because I've been feeling that it's looking so dull lately! The tub is such a good size too at 200ml, I'm definitely going to get a lot from it, and it has a pretty, colourful little picture of a woman on the top which I like as it makes it a little bit different! I think my sister got it from Boots so that means I'll be able to re-purchase easily once I'm finished! I can't wait to keep using it, my hair is going to be so smooth and gorgeous!

Overall such a lovely product, works a treat on dry hair to instantly make it feel smooth and sleek again!

Have you tried this hair mask and what did you think? What other hair masks have you tried?

Avon Update ♥

So recently I purchased some Avon goodies and as they were my first ever Avon supplies and I'd obviously never tried them before, I thought I'd do an update of how I've got on with them!

The Blemish Mark Treatment - The roll on makes it so easy to apply and it is isn't too drying on the skin when it's rubbed in, but I haven't really been able to see a difference. To be honest, I don't have too many marks on my skin anyway, I just thought this would be good for when I have a breakout and want it to disappear quickly but I've found that the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is really good for my skin and I really prefer that! As a cheap alternative though I will definitely reach for the Avon when I fancy a little break from the ANR.

Japanese Sake and Rice Refreshing Eye Smoother - Lovely and refreshing but as I said it's more like a serum so I don't feel it soaks in as much as a good moisturiser would do. It does make your eyes feel nice and cool though and less heavy and tired which is a great in the mornings when I need something to wake me up! I would buy this again but it probably won't stop me repurchasing my Clinique 'All about eyes' as well.

Japanese Sake and Rice Luminous Face Treatment - I use this more as a primer as I feel it really smooths the skin which is ideal before applying make up. It isn't too heavy either which is good because although I love feeling like my skin is deeply moisturised I hate when I feel like products are clogging my skin! It has a shiny/glimmering sort of look to it too which does mean it makes your skin look luminous, so on a summers day with a tan, where no foundation is required I think I'd probably use this and nothing else, as it does make the skin look healthy and fresh! I love the smell too - it reminds me of after sun and summer holidays! :)

Nail Experts Strong Results Nail Strengthener - Now I really expected this to be a nail polish and apply a shiny coat, but this is completely different and is more like a treatment for the nails as opposed to a polish! It soaks into the nails and I have to say I have really noticed a difference in the strength of my nails and they haven't been breaking at all! This is something I'm definitely going to continue using as I think (dare I say) it beats my Sally Hanson Diamond Strength which I've been reaching for for years! I would really recommend this as it has really worked for me, and because it's just a treatment, it means you can apply a colour straight on top!

I think I'll definitely be re-purchasing these goodies and trying out some new ones soon! Let me know if you've ever tried Avon and what you thought?

Hellocotton ♥

Hey girlies,

Well considering google aren't using GFC anymore apparently, I just thought I'd let everyone know that I went ahead and joined Hellocotton. I saw lots of girls tweeting about their big move onto it and saying how much better it was than GFC and even bloglovin' so I thought I'd just join too :). It's actually such a good way to keep up with your fave blogs and also find lots more great ones to follow, from all different categories! I am a fan of bloglovin' too as that one has an app for my phone (Hellocotton are also going to develop an app appaz) so it means I can read all my faves when I'm out and about, so I'm on there too :) So feel free to follow me on Hellocotton or Bloglovin'! I'm only new to it so haven't got many followers yet nor am I following that many people either, but once I have time I'm going to dedicate a couple of hours to reading lots of great new blogs and finding lots of new ones to follow...for now all I'm doing with my time is constantly writing and reading for my dissertation...yawn!

Here is my page :)
www.hellocotton.com/

Do you use any other blog following sites other than GFC or Bloglovin'? and is anyone else on Hellocotton that I'm not already following?
